They're Real and They're Spectacular

Former TV Lois Lane Teri Hatcher has been complaining about speculation about her body, as this article relates.

This was also the subject of an episode of Seinfeld, featuring a pre-Lois Lane Teri, who reprised her role in Seinfeld's final episode. Judge for yourself here.

Super (Hero) Bowl

When you watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots during Sunday's Super Bowl, keep an eye out for a cool new Visa commercial, featuring Marvel's supeheroes, promoting the security of its check card.

According to Visa:

The lighthearted television spot, created by BBDO NY, airs as a stand-alone commercial during the first half of the Super Bowl on Feb. 6. The commercial features popular Marvel Super Heroes(TM) Spider-Man(TM), Captain America(TM), Wolverine(TM), Storm(TM), and Thor(TM). The commercial ends with a final surprise guest visit -- a latecomer to the rescue.

It's Boldly Gone

Inspect This

Later this year, a remake of the Pink Panther hits theatres, with Steve Martin taking on the role of Inspector Jacques Clouseau, made famous by the late Peter Sellers.

This doesn't sound like a really good idea, but judge for yourself. Here's the first trailer for the movie:

People Think SpongeBob's Gay? Have You SEEN Bugs Bunny?

Good thing Bugs isn't making cartoons today:

Here's a great site that references all of the cartoons where Bugs Bunny appeared in drag, or otherwise took on feminine characteristics, complete with pics.

Tim Burton's "The Corpse Bride"

Charlie and the Chococate Factory isn't the only Tim Burton movie starring Johnny Depp coming out this year. Burton also returns to the stop-motion animation technique he used in the great Nightmare Before Christmas in The Corpse Bride, coming this Halloween, starring Johhny Depp as the voice of the character seen here:

A Very Special Episode of Smallville

Worst. Episode. Ever.

This episode was so pandering to the perceived audience who are now turning to American Idol on Fox, that it’s thrown good storytelling out the window just for a chance to show even more skin/sex than they were earlier in the season. Throwing in the little PSA from Chloe at the end did not make up for a horrible excuse of a “A Very Special Episode of Smallville.” Lana was so painfully cliché that I think I saw the actor playing Jason rolling his eye at her dialogue.

How did Alicia know about red kryptonite, and where to find it? Major plot hole to get things moving.

The less said about this episode the better. If not for the Lex/Lionel mansion scenes, this episode would have been a complete waste.

Oh look! Alicia’s back next week. Oh joy.

I Gotta Have More Cowbell!

Great article about the classic Will Ferrell-Christopher Walken SNL skit about Blue Oyster Cult's recording of the '70s classic, "Don't Fear the Reaper."

But why read about it when you can watch it?
