Not So Super?

Think Superman is a hero to be admired? National Lampoon has uncovered evidence to the contrary.

Superboy vs. Sandman

Well, Smallville was better than last week, but that’s not saying much. Cool that Chloe knows, though I thought she already suspected something.

The scene that she saw, with Clark lifting the car was incredible. The scene when he was holding Alicia’s dead body was right out of the end of the first movie. I thought he was going to fly around the world and turn back time.

I found Lois annoying in this episode, when usually I like her, and the way they all acted in the beginning of the episode was so cruel, Clark should really be pretty annoyed with the whole lot of them..

The motivation for the freak of the week – which they don’t even bother trying to explain anymore – was really stretching it. The town’s immoral, and the best representation of that is Jason dating Lana? Hasn’t this guy been watching this season?

Not enough Lex, who didn’t even show up until 40 minutes into it. The little that we got was intriguing. Jason’s mother, trying to scheme with Lex to break up Lana and her son. Lex doesn’t bite, since he’s more interested in finding out why Genevieve would be so interested in doing that. So instead, he decides to bring Jason closer to him, and offers him a job, so they can find out what Mrs. Teague is up to together. No Lionel at all this week, though he’s never far from Lex’s – or Genevieve’s – thoughts

But Alicia’s gone, so I’m happy about that. Lois is back in the next episode. I hope she’s a little less annoying this time.

"Batman Begins" Super Bowl Spot

A new trailer for Batman Begins debuted during the ill-fated (for Philly) Super Bowl. It featured a first look at the Scarecrow -- and it was way better than that crappy Marvel superhero Visa ad.
