Paramount Pictures turned down William Shatner's pitch for Starfleet Academy, a new Star Trek series that would have featured Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty in their their younger years. That's not stopping Bill from turning the idea into a book though. Read about it here.
And more bad news for Shatner. He has a whole Iowan town mad at him for a hoax he pulled as part of a new reality sries he's working on for Spike TV. They're calling him "Captain Jerk."
